July 13, 2008Will 3/4T torsion bars work on a 1/2? i want a little stiffer ride, hopefully, alittle more height but more importantly the stiffer front. I want to add a hd bumper and a winch and will want the extra support. Anyone know what the pros/cons will be if it will work? also, are 1/2/ and 3/4T leaf springs the same size and can i swap them in on my suburban?

i just went out and double checked on my 98 k3500 crew dually against my 88 7200 gvw(same as half ton) 3/4 ton ones in the garage
so in theory you could use a set from a 6.5 powered truck and get the stiff ness you want since the 6.5 is the heaviest engine put in these body style trucks, it weighs more than the 7.4
