Well, id never used spacers before, but the new explorer`s gottem on the rear so that the track width and bolt patterns match front and rear. Its the type that bolt on and have another set of studs for the wheels. I would say that there is no problem with using this type of spacer since that is what they use now adays on the front of 1ton duallys. The thin type that just slide over your studs, well, ive never used`em. But if ya do, first of all make sure that you have enough exposed threads on your studs to safely hold your wheels on your ride. And it would prolly be a good idea to check lug nut torque every so often and regularly check the spacers for cracks and other damage.Stand on it!

yes 4pullingGM, i agree stay away from the slip on spacers. Per the info given in the thread, mine are the bolt on type with matching bolt patterns. Due to the fact that 90% of your spacers and after market wheels are lug centric and not hub centric, i ran ET lugs on the wheels and spacers. this insures that both are perfectly centered.(plus the ET lugs give you another 1/4 inch of thread contact.) Even running a 38" tall by 15.5 wide tire i have never had any stud breaking issues. Some come to gaze and wonder, i came to interact with thunder!

hey 4pullinggm!what ones do you have on the back of the exploder?? I need to find some for mine so I can run my big tires.
I just have not had any luck finding any with the right pattern.
I want adapters, not spacers. and all I can find is spacers
