March 26, 2011I thinking about going with 37`s but have been reading that anything bigger then 35`s really starts wearing out front end parts?? Going with either on I was wondering if lookin at weight of the wheels and tires would be worth it? Finding stuff lighter would that help on breaking stuff?

March 26, 2011Is that just mainly because I have a ifs truck?
March 27, 2011Yea you don`t want to go much over 35`s without upgrading stuff otherwise your going to start breaking things when you`re out wheeling IMO.
March 27, 2011Ive had good luck with a set of boggers on my old ranger. After i wore those out (they lasted a couple of years for me) i got a set of swamper ltb`s, those things work really well! Got a set of irok`s now and im happy with them.
March 27, 2011How about rim width?
There doesnt seem to be alot out there at least the ones I`ve looking at that give all that many options.
I was thinking 4in backspace 10 in rim run 12.5 - 13.50
Or should I stick with 9in. I most likely see bead locks being installed later on and have read that this adds an inch or so to the wheels.
I could run both of those widths on a 9in yeah?
I think stock my wheels are 9in.
March 27, 2011Most wheels I`ve been looking at only choices you do have is no more then 4in bs and 9in wide.
March 27, 2011As for Tires I`m thinking the Trail Grabblers for a trail/street tire.
March 29, 2011Forgot that I`m going to get smaller wheels and just run them when its time to play so the tire choice will change and doesnt have to be pavment friendly as much now.
March 29, 2011I had a set of Maxxis Bighorns on my Chevy, and they would go anywhere. Also lasted very well. I had them for a year and a half, and when I sold them(went to 35`s), they where well above 3/4 tread. That truck was my daily driver.
March 30, 2011after having these toyos i dont think ill use a different tire ever again
March 30, 2011My personal favorites are truxus MTR`s, extremely aggressive tread, but still nice and quiet. one of the best MT i`ve found. i`d run those if they`d make a 38-39 in a 15, and they didnt cost over 430 a tire...but my tsl cost about that much brand new too i guess
March 30, 2011What width wheel ya need depends on the tire width. I usually run an 8" wheel with a 12.50" wide tire for off road use. Kind of a poor mans bead lock, the narrower wheel will hold the bead better. The 9" wide wheels would prolly work for ya.
