I, yes at the age of 15 got a new truck which I'm thankful for, but I wish it would of been 4x4, but I didn't want to ask my dad because I was happy for what he had given me anyway. But yeah Would you give me any tips or tricks for 2wd mudding? I've gone a few times and almost got stuck, but that was my own fault for stopping and trying to go in reverse to turn around(bad idea) but if anyone has any tips or to just tell me to stay on the pavement it will be greatly appreciated! HAHAHA . . . STAY OFF THE PAVEMENT . .. its more fun that way. . . okay here are a few quick tips, get a locker for the rear, a small lift and bigger tires . . . OH and if you dont get stuck a few times your not having enough fun! There are limitations to having a 2WD. . . .but you can have plenty of fun.

Nice lol, I figured I just have to be careful with what I do, I'm not going to try those like 3 feet puddles of mud and what not lol, My dad said I could get a lift and new tires for graduation, which is over a year away so I don't know lol.. but this summer I'm going to redo my exhaust(maybe) and get 2 10s, I THINK, I don't want to get new tires yet, because see they onl;y have like 7000 miles on them, so it'd be kind of a waste IMO, and my dad wouldn't see the need lol so yeah. but I love going, my parents don'tlike me going but yeah, I have the 3.55 LS, which I was told could help my truck do mudding than a none LS 4x4 truck! lol

i dont even know what my rear end is like on my 2wd cherokee. whether its got a locker or w/e. but i enjoy goin too...pain in the butt cuz i cant follow the other guys into the thick stuff. im lookin at new tires but lift is out of the question for now. and how much are lockers usually? are they hard to install?February 6, 2007
Michael in response to your question you can try summit to find prices on good lockers, and the difficulty of the installation will depend on your experience with gears and things of that nature, etc.*i'm not being mean to him, we're best friends lol*

yea...well....guess if i get one its gooing be professionally installed considering i dont think ive ever even touched rear end gears. lol. much less know how to take stuff apart and what not. o wellFebruary 6, 2007
Your dad would def be able to install it, but since it'd BE for muddin' I don't know if he/your mom would allow itFebruary 6, 2007
just remember dont ever stop....get a running start if its bad and you want to make it through it. but as for the locker, if you aint got any experiance with rear ends dont even think about doing it yourself. unless you want a new experiance!!February 6, 2007

all depends how you build it. 2wd is a blast. I ran this truck with 96redram just about anywhere i wanted. good ground clearance, good tires are a must.
