November 8, 20064LO when in competition bogs for max launch and short distance speed. 4HI when just screwing around.
November 8, 2006I agree with the 2 above me. i use 4HI for screwing around in the mud or sand. i rarely use 4LO, unless Im pullin somebody out or goin thru pretty messy nasty deep mud cuz I want that torque. Other than that, I go 2wd first and then 4Hi if i start gettin stuck. -Jimmy
November 8, 20064LO in the jeep but its on 39.5's with 3:73's. In the truck it's about half/half. I always use 4Lo when headed into water. Never know what your going to find and no time to stop.
November 9, 2006I ahve to say I always use 4lo when I need to lock in. But that's only cause my rover is 4hi all the time, but when you kick it over into 4lo it locks the center diff and then all heck breaks loose:-)
November 9, 2006lol 4 low with a cummins is a beast .. you get the rpms and dont go anywhere .. so 4 hi most of time .. but if going on rocks or something just 4low and idle up them .. heck i do most in 2wd until no more movement then go 4 to get out .. or if it looks really bad 4 high just to be safe ..
