October 12, 2005I'm about to get a set of 35x12.50x16 SSR's for my SD. Would it be easier to balance them with Equal or a similar granular tire balancing substance? Should I just wait and see how much weight it's gonna take to balance these big hunks of rubber? Thanks in advance for any help.

October 12, 2005I never liked equal because you gotta make sure the air is dry. Never know what your getting when you add some air at the fillin station and stuff like that. besides that, its some good stuff.
October 13, 2005Get them road force balanced and post up pics...
I could explain what Road Force balance is, however the manufacture does a better job. They even provide pictures and everything. Plus they have a search feature to find the nearest machine for you. We road force all return tires when the owner complains of a vibration. I once went through 6 brand new tires to find 1 that would work on this guys wheel. Road Force is an extremely accurate way to balance tires, especially big tires. We have never had a return for tire vibration after a tire was road forced. Not every tire center has the Hunter machine, and I think Hunter is the only one making a Road Force machine. Check it out.
