I may have found a trailer to rent to haul my blazer home. Its a 10k heavy equipment trailer - 16'. I thought the blazer (fullsize) would fit since the wheel base is around 108", but had my dad back home measure the overall length and he states it is 15' 4". And if so would a 16' be too small then?Forums : Towing : Trailer Question (165 Views)

My car hauler is 16' and have hauled a GMC Jimmy on it .. same thing as blazer. Only thing I would be conserned about is that equipment trailer probobly has railing on it. When I hauled the Jimmy on mine, it scrubbed the fenders a little going on and off and there only in the center. .. might be a tight fit is what I'm saying but 16' is plenty long enough.August 4, 2005
my trailor is a 16foot and ive hauled a suburban on it. the back bumper came over the front a bit and so did the front bumper over the back of the trailor.the problem i have with hauling fullsize chevys is the front axle doesnt fit between the rails. the back tires will fit with up to 12.50 wide tire but i have to take off one of the front tires and put a donut on for it to fit and then back the truck up untill the hub on the side with the donut hits the rail. i usually only tow junks with no engine in like this, not sure how the trialor would tow with all the engine weight towards the back of the trailor
this is the only picture i could find, but thats as far up as it will fit on the trailor, the dount is on the driver side front.

Thanks for the info guys - I forgot the width of the trailer so I got to double check that again + I need to get the brake controller put in my rig. I got umpteen trillion tires at home so hopefully I can find two wee little ones to put on the front - I also got then 31x10.50s that came with it too. According to my dads measurements the width the large tires is 7'4" but that is with a 15.50 wide tire![]() |
