October 30, 2005IF you want the best in mud, nothing, NOTHING can beat what interco offers. SSR, TSL radial, TSL, or bogger. anyone of these tires will out perform anyother mud tire.. but they do cost, and they are loud, suck on wet pavement and if you drive with them in the winter you better be good at winter driving lol... i have the TSL's now and will be getting a set of 35" boggers in the spring. already got them priced out for $420CAN a tire.
October 30, 2005Well, since were on Interco, how about the Thornbirds?? How do those act on the road and do you get good mileage???
October 30, 2005Thronbirds are good on road but are the worst off-road tires ever made!!
October 30, 2005lol, i liked the thornbirds, i got many stuck pictures because of those thing. i used to get stuck in 2inches of snow with those tires they were like slicks. no idea how they are on the road the truck was a trailor mudder. never seen over 15mph on pavement.
i love the look of them though.
November 19, 2005Ok, lets see, I've run the rubber off 3 sets of BFG Mud TA, love em, only problem is they are only load rated D, little sidewall problem and soft on the road wear. Loved my Thornbirds, nothing bad to say there, great in sand, mud, and wear good. Looking at a set of the Swamper Mud Terrain Radials, just curious how they wear, on a 4 inch lifted Powerstroke, dirve 30-40K's a year, and I want something that rides nice and lasts longer than a year, any help??
January 3, 2006If bfg's are to expensive for you I would go with the same tires I run on my 99 f-150 with 3 body 315 75 r16 Mastercraft Courser mt's I paid like 680 for all 4. I liked them soo much this is my second set.
February 25, 2007Man I have a set of the Dayton Timberlines and have no trouble with them at all. They are great in the mud and on road. They are a little noisy but I don't expect less from a mud tire. Now as far as price is i have no clue, they came on my tahoe.
February 25, 2007im about to get some new tires and i am probably getting the BFG All Terrains
February 25, 2007nice choice Mike....you'll love the BFG A/T!!
February 26, 2007Im gonna be getting some 35s for the Dodge 2500 4x4 diesel soon. Thinking about Baja Claws or Pro-comp Xterrains.
