October 18, 2004the do it yourself or the pressure washer they both work!
October 18, 2004Rebel I like the idea of your "corrosion control" it had me laughin for like 10 minutes but for some reason I think your serious for that I drint to you!
October 18, 2004I was totally serious. I grew up in Alaska and thought stuff rusted badly up there, ****..come to virginia..in a matter of 3 months my cab corners went from solid and painted to 2 big gaping holes, not to mention theres a few huge rust spots forming..so I keep a good coat of mud all over.
October 31, 2004I'm lucky enough to be able to wash my truck at work in our semi truck wash bay, super high pressure, and it aint hard to wash under my truck with the lift I got. After the last mud bog, it took me and my brother an hour to wash it off, thats 2 people, each with a high pressure wash wand, yep that was alot of thick clay mud stuck on that beast.
November 15, 2004I do the sprinkler thing and then i go to the car wash to get the rest of it.
November 15, 2004I want to know what kind of mud you guys are running in to clean it at the carwash for $5 or 5 min... Crap we have one car wash here thats $5 for 30 mins and I can spend $20 there and still be finding mud a month later.
November 17, 2004There is a trick to the car wash. You have to pull the trigger on the sprayer.
You also have to bend over or kneel down to get the spray under the truck. Washing the top side is nice and all, however most of the mud is underneath.
Wish our car washes were $5 for 30 minutes. It's one minute per quarter around here and it will cost ya minimum of 4 quarters to turn it on.
November 17, 2004Clean up is therapy for me. I love it!!!
I use the truck tramps to pull up on in my driveway raising it up. I put on my waiters (SP) and rubber boots and I use a 2750 PSI gas pressure washer and go to town spraying it all down about an hour or less. I do also spray the outside as well to get the chunks off so I can wash it.
Once I get the mud all off if it is not a lot then I just wash it to the side of the driveway let it dry and scoop it up later and pile it in the side of the house. I should take it all back to where it came from one day but I dont.
The most I have washed off was 2 wheel barrels full.
November 18, 2004goddamn man! 2 wheel barrels! did ya bury the ****er?! i just wash it off at my job in the truck bays with a gas pressured washer. every once in a while though, so much mud will collect up that theres actually a little pile and i have to wash it away. hey heres a question: did ya ever get finished washing it and got it dirty again in less than an hour
November 18, 2004It took me about 5 hours to rinse after the last run.
