November 11, 2004Bigger tires, bigger rears, bigger motor...BIG is the key word when bogging.
That being said, there were a lot of other little Q's that people asked, and I don't remember all of them. You can seal your entire engine bay to keep water out, which is what I'm in the process of doing. All of the plugs/wires (NOT your plug wires) going to your dist. can be rtv realed, rtv sealed snorkel for the induction, sealed wires/plugs on alt., a box for your batt., and that's about it. Not a whole lot you can do about your starter except a shield. Covers for your inner fenders and a mud flap over your front rear will all help keep mud from getting to the engine bay. As for the reast of the truck, exhaust routed up in the air is a excellent modification, as well as vent tubes for the rears.
As far as what to bring, 50-100+pc tool kit, BFH, hi-lift (or the equivelent), strap, shovel, water, blankets, snacks, a cell phone/calling card, and most importantly...AT LEAST ONE ANOTHER PERSON/TRUCK!
