April 18, 2011This is how I installed Daystars 2" coil spacers on top of my front coils to level off my truck. Below is a little write-up and some pics.
I thought this was a fairly easy install, took me about 3 hours by myself.
Went with longer shocks so it wouldn`t top out when offroading with my swaybar disconnected.
-1- Jacked up the truck and put jackstands (on blocks) under the frame.
-2- Put the jack under the axle for support and took off the tires and wheels.
-3- Disconnected the swaybar.
-4- Marked the coils (which side and angle).
-5- Pulled off the shock towers and the shocks.
-6- Dropped the axle by lowering the jack.
-7- Took out the coils.
-8- Installed spacers to mounts.
-9- Put the coils back in (with the help of a friend pushing down on the axle and lifting on the fender)and jacked axle back up
-10- Installed the new shocks
-11- Then put the shock towers back in.
-12- Reconnected the swaybar
-13- Tighted everything up .......
-14- Went and had it re-aligned
Sorry, wish I took more but thats all I had.
